Known as the former "Congress Hotel Olten", the Hotel Olten has always been a popular venue for congresses, conferences, seminars and events of all kinds. With over 1000m2 of conference room space, you are guaranteed to find the right atmosphere for your event. The hotel's own Holz & Stein restaurant is also a popular meeting place for a refreshing break.
The story behind it
Esther Mattenberger had managed the hotel since 2001; in 2016, she handed over responsibility to her son Dominique. Together with his business partner Darko Bosnjak, he is now implementing what his mother gave him: "We want to continue to be the core competence in the organization of seminars and congresses and maintain a family atmosphere."
Dominique Mattenberger is a trained chef. After his training, he moved to the kitchens of New York, Florida, Vienna and Zurich until he opened "The Beef Steakhouse" in Bern in 2012 and managed it for two years. Probably already wisely anticipating his future, he then completed a postgraduate course to become a federally certified hotelier/restaurateur.
Darko Bosnjak is also a trained chef with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. To gain practical experience, he completed internships in various Swiss hotels during his training. But that's not all: he deepened his business management know-how with stints abroad in Hong Kong, India and Amsterdam.
Together, the two ambitious hoteliers are leading the Hotel Olten into the future. With a motivated, experienced team.
